Sacre Coeur

10 minutes was all it took to reach our hostel which is perfectly satisfactory (Fiona: “and provides towels”). We were both desperate to get out, eat, and see some of the sights, and so we decided to take a walk around La Montmartre.

We found a lovely pizzeria at the foot of the Sacre Coeur and shared a Calzone and a ½ bottle of Chianti. It was very idyllic, and just as we both commented on that a busker started to play the accordian. We then headed up the flight of stairs to be greeted by the Sacre Coeur and an unbelievable view of Paris at night (see pictures), the highlight definitely being the Eiffel tower glittering at 11pm.
